Luckily, there are plenty of dog friendly pubs serving Brightside beer, and we’ve put together a handy guide for your inspiration.
Located just off the shores of Formby is the characterful country house that is home to The Sparrowhawk pub. With plenty of spacious rooms and open fires throughout, the pub provides a warm welcome to those wishing to walk their dogs in the local area. You’ll find plenty of charm around the place and can even enjoy a pint of Brunning & Price Original Bitter, brewed by us at Brightside.
At Bee Orchid, you’ll find a cosy metropolitan bar facing the water of Salford Quays. Pull up a pew with your pooch and a pint of Keller and quietly take in the scenery, or visit later in the evening to enjoy one of their regular live music nights.
Perhaps you’ve just been on the Urmston Meadows for a dog walk, or maybe found yourself wandering down the high-street window shopping; why not stop by the Prairie Schooner Taphouse in Urmston? This award-winning dog friendly pub has four cask taps and eight craft beer kegs on from local brewers. It’s the perfect spot to whet your whistle after a long walk out.
Not too far from Turton and the Entwistle reservoir is the Strawbury Duck. With a focus on serving quality food and great cask ales, this traditional pub is sure to tick many boxes when it comes to spending a relaxing afternoon. Reviewed by one on Tripadvisor as “very dog friendly” with pup treats on the bar, the folks over at the Strawbury Duck are more than happy serving those who have been exploring the area with their dogs.
A long standing customer of ours is Wine and Wallop in West Didsbury. Part of a small independent group with multiple venues, this neighbourhood bar serves a range of cask ale and beer. From their Brightside-brewed house beer, Wallop Pale to other locally sourced ales and beers, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. For those who will be accompanied by their furry friends, the bar is definitely “doggo friendly”.
Two for the price of one here, Casked is a proper boozer. With multiple cask lines, a permanent cider line (including BrightCider) and 15 keg lines, there’s so much choice! Casked has two locations, one in Ramsbottom and one in Rawetenstall. Both are super dog friendly, so don’t be surprised if you see your dog’s photo snapped for the socials!
Located in the heart of the town centre, is the vibrant community hub of Radcliffe Market. Serving up food and drink throughout the day (we technically refer to this as the “unofficial Brightside tap”), Radcliffe Market is a great spot for unwinding on a chilled out afternoon. With plenty of vendors to choose from, you’ll be sure to find something to enjoy here. The vibes are chilled, and made better by it’s dog-friendly policy.
Monton high street is somewhat of a hidden gem in Manchester. Lined with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops, it’s a great place to unwind. While on Monton Road, why not stop by Oats and Honey? Serving breakfast bites and small bowls throughout the day, and beer on tap in the evening, this sustainable and eco-conscious spot is worth stopping by. Here, you’ll find BrightCider flowing from their cider tap, along with other locally sourced and independent brews from the area. Monton has a few great walking spots for you and your dogs, so why not pop in here while you’re out and about?
